All units are autoclavable and are constructed with jewelled
hammers to minimize friction. Scale markings are etched for
accuracy. Scales are inclined, permitting reading from above.
Each unit is supplied with certification so that it meets the
specifications established by the Committee on Standardization
of Tonometers of the A.A.O.O. Individually packaged in a fitted
case with weights and test block.
*Allen Plunger Retractor ‑ the plunger is held in a retracted
position, flush with the surface of the footplate, until the
tonometer is in place on the cornea. This feature helps to
prevent possible damage to corneal tissue.
